I grew up in a very good and loving home. It was a nominally Christian home, but it taught me good morals and values. When I was very young, we went to a local Baptist church out of family tradition instead of genuine faith. As I grew older, our church attendance slackened until it completely phased out. However, around the age of 9, my parents decided that they wanted to take my bother and me back to church, so we began attending various local churches near the area where we lived in Georgia. We settled on Lizella Baptist Church due to an invitation from one of my childhood friends.

After just a few weeks of being under the preaching of God's Word, He convicted me that I desperately needed Him. He showed me that I was a sinner, that I was spiritually dead in sin, and that I desperately needed Him to give me righteousness and life through Jesus Christ. I put all my faith and trust in Jesus Christ knowing that nothing else could save me from my sin. I was born again and received new life and an eternal hope secured in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I was then baptized to Christ's command just after my tenth birthday (Matt. 28:18-20).
